The range map.

Rate only what you know. “Priority” is separate from “level” because a usable range can still deserve attention. Fold and Squat start marked as priorities because you called out hamstrings and ankles as current limits.

01

Prepare

Move through the range. Reduce stiffness. Learn the shape without forcing it.

02

Open

Spend time at a comfortable edge with support, breath and patience.

03

Own

Use active effort so the new range becomes controllable rather than merely reachable.

04

Integrate

Put the range back into a recognizable yoga position or short movement sequence.

Practice rules.

Flexibility improves through repeated exposure, not heroic single sessions. Warm up before deeper work, use dynamic movement before demanding practice, and save longer static holds for warm tissue or standalone flexibility work.

Warm first.

A few minutes of easy movement is enough to make the work more useful than stretching cold.

Muscle stretch, not joint pain.

Strong sensation can be normal. Sharp pain, pinching, numbness or pressure inside a joint is a stop signal.

Consistency wins.

Short, repeatable practice is the point of this page. Keep the drills you will actually return to.
